Harvinder Mavi is a seasoned entrepreneur with 25 years of experience, distinguished by two successful exits and a history of building startups across varied domains, including Tech, B2B, D2C, Entertainment, and Food. He currently maintains an active role as an Advisor with Transacta Capital, a boutique M&A firm, leveraging his extensive experience in successful exits and scaling. Mavi is also focused on two entrepreneurial ventures: Charcoal Eats US, a Joint Venture with CE India, and AyamVeda, a D2C brand aimed at taking Ayurveda to the global stage.
Mavi’s most significant prior success was Agilyst Inc., a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) firm in the services industry. He rapidly scaled the company to 1,600 full-time employees (FTE) in under four years, specializing in operational audits for large telecom giants such as Comcast, Time Warner, and Talk Talk. This rapid growth and specialized niche ultimately led to Agilyst’s acquisition by eClerx Ltd, one of the largest KPO firms in India.
Earlier in his career, Mavi founded RedHorns Software, another KPO that focused on the specialized area of product design for the U.S. automobile industry. His foundational business experience came from successfully establishing the content distribution network across North India for major production houses, including Sony Pictures and UTV, demonstrating an early aptitude for logistics and high-volume operations within the entertainment sector.
