Roy Clauss is an investment banker with a strategic focus on transportation companies, particularly airlines and aircraft leasing companies along with air freight, rail, truck, cruise, logistics and related infrastructure companies. He has led billions of dollars of debt and equity financings and M&A transactions for American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and many other airlines globally. He has been involved in restructurings for US Airways, Air Canada, Avianca and South African Airways and the privatizations of British Airways and Air Canada.

Roy’s aircraft leasing transactions have included Guinness Peat Aviation (GPA), Ansett Worldwide (AWAS), AerCap, GECAS and Prince Al Waleed bin Talal, among others.  He has advised many leading private equity firms regarding aviation investments. He is a former Managing Director of Salomon Brothers, Partner of Lehman Brothers and Managing Director of Seabury Group, having led offices and teams in the U.S. and Asia.
